Lens Blocker
HOW IT WORKS: Adhesive tape is affixed to the front of each blank to prevent the front from being scratched during the blocking process. A lens blank is placed into the blocker, which contains a heated, metal alloy that fuses the block to the front of the blank. The blocks are used to hold each lens in place during the grinding and polishing processes.
WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE: High-resolution, optical detection guarantees precise lens alignment. The after-clamping check monitors that every blocked lens meets the tight tolerance criteria needed for premium surfacing. A computer-controlled alloy filling station enables an uninterrupted and economical flow of alloy.
The state-of-the-art blocking station at AccuLab is meticulously designed to achieve superior precision in manual alloy blocking. Not only does it excel in this aspect, but it also provides an ideal setting for the production of free-form and advanced Rx.
Lens Generator
HOW IT WORKS: A generator is a three-axis lathing machine that can be set for the precise optical prescription. The blank is placed in the generator, and it cuts the appropriate optical curves into the back of each lens.
WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE: Five computers operate the three motors. Maximum communication speed and high data resolution are results of the sensors transmitting to the motors via gold communication lines. The result is the most precise algorithmic translation of information to process all unique freeform and Rx lens designs.
Our cutting-edge digital lens generator seamlessly achieves its tasks through the utilization of high-performance controllers in its surfacing motors.
Lens Polisher
HOW IT WORKS: Both lenses are placed in the polishing machine. The back of each lens is polished in a series of operations. First, it is rubbed against an abrasive polishing pad made of soft, abrasive foam. Then, the lens is polished with a pad made of smooth plastic. As the machine rotates the pads in a circular direction, polish flows over the lenses. The final step is when the pads are rotating in a circular direction, a polishing compound of aluminum oxide, water, and polymers flow over the lenses.
WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE: The polisher’s intelligent tool management monitors the usage of the pads and indicates to the operator when the replacement of tools is necessary. For a smooth finish every time, this is another step that ensures that AccuLab has the best quality products.
Our precision-engineered polisher, entirely controlled by the latest CNC technology, is tailor-made for AccuLab's seamless mastery in free-form and Rx polishing.
Lens Laser
HOW IT WORKS: The laser marking system etches the lens style, 180-line, material, and add power into each lens.
WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE: Functional laser marks and product branding are the modern stamps of high-quality lenses. With the laser marking system offered at AccuLab, fine markings can be accomplished with ease and precision.
Laser marking with precision optics has seamlessly integrated into the fabric of modern surfacing laboratories, and our own is no different. It stands as an indispensable cornerstone of our operations. We have the capability to imprint nearly any image, text, or personalized design onto any section of your eyeglasses – be it the lens, frame, or any intricate space in between, allowing your patients to showcase their unique style effortlessly!
Anti-Reflective Coating
HOW IT WORKS: A lacquer is applied to the lens to make it scratch resistant. After ultrasonic cleaning, the anti-reflective coatings are applied in a vacuum deposition process. The individual lenses are arranged in special racks. A coating has up to 9 individual layers. The last layer makes the surface of the lens extremely smooth, making it resistant to both dirt and water.
WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE: Reliable and proven components combined with modern process technology characterize the CCS 610+. This is a compact system with no compromise in quality and components to produce the highest quality products.
Representing Schneider's most streamlined anti-reflective coating system, our inhouse Leybold Optics CCS 610+ expertly fulfills every need of our valued clients & their patients. Our Atlantis series AR embodies the pinnacle of coating technology in the optical industry.
Edging & Finishing
HOW IT WORKS: The frame is put in a tracer, which accurately measures the frame’s dimensions. The lenses are blocked, for ease of handling. The pattern is transmitted from the tracer and the lenses are inserted into an edger. The machine grinds each lens to its proper shape and places a bevel around the edge of the lens so it will fit the frame. Water flows over the lens through this process.
WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE: The ME-1200 & ME-1500 deliver high-curve beveling, exclusive partial beveling, partial grooving, design cut, faceting, advanced shape editing, 3D grooving, and 3D drilling. Top of the line technology allows AccuLab products to be of best quality.
Our extensive range of advanced edgers showcase pioneering step-beveling technology, setting the standard as the first-to-market innovation. This equipment enables us to deliver the utmost quality Rx lenses, specifically designed for high-wrap frames. With patented high base-curve lens processing, seamless automatic 3-D drilling, and precision 3-D grooving, our expertise extends to drill mounts, faceted edges, Chem clips, and fulfilling any unique needs or preferences of your patients.
